Metrix, Inc. Appoints Raymond V. Sozzi to Board of Directors Industry Veteran Brings More Than 25 Years of Expertise and Added Strength to Metrix WAUKESHA, Wis. - May 13, 1999 - Metrix, Inc. today announced the appointment of information technology industry veteran Raymond V. Sozzi to its board of directors. Sozzi has more than 25 years of operating experience, including marketing, sales and service, engineering, manufacturing, finance and strategic planning. As a chief executive officer for emerging high-tech companies, including Enterprise Resource Planning companies, he has a proven track record of increasing operating profit and shareholder value. "We are pleased to have Ray on the Metrix board of directors. His expertise in helping high-tech companies increase value and intensify customer relationships is an exceptional benefit and brings added vigor to Metrix," said Larry Laux, president and CEO of Metrix. "Additionally, he will be instrumental in helping Metrix see strong growth in 1999 and even stronger growth in years following." Sozzi served as president and chief executive officer for software companies such as Magic Solutions International, Datalogix International, DataImage, Insci Corp., Northstar Technologies, and Coral Networks. In these roles, Sozzi was strategically able to pinpoint areas of improvement to reduce costs, improve profits and overall company value, consequently fortifying relationships with customers. In his latest position, as president and director of Magic Solutions International, Inc., Sozzi was responsible for restructuring their business model, doubling revenues and improving operating costs by more than 15 percent, all in one year. "I am looking forward to working with the Metrix management team and to share with them my experience as a former chief executive officer of ERP companies," said Sozzi. "This marketplace continues to show opportunity and double-digit growth." Sozzi has a B.B.A. from Iona College and an M.B.A. from Pace University. Additionally, he received his C.P.A.
