Forté's Component-Based Architecture Empowers Metrix to Implement Domain Knowledge to Provide Customers with Tougher Software Solutions

Waukesha, WI - May 10, 1999 - Metrix, Inc., the dominant best-in-class provider of software solutions designed specifically to automate world class service operations, today announced Metrix 4e, Metrix's integrated component architecture service solution, built using the Forté Application Environment™.

Metrix leveraged Forté's strength as the leading enterprise development environment so the Metrix solution could be delivered on a component-based architecture better and faster than its competition. This also enables Metrix to clearly focus on understanding clients' businesses in order to provide them with targeted solutions to meet their specific business objectives. Global Metrix customers demand highly effective Wide Area Network performance which requires operating in an n-tier environment. Forté™ enables Metrix to deliver its solution in a true n-tier environment, as opposed to a two-tier or three-tier environment. Metrix also used Forté to build a scalable and easy-to-use Web front-end for Metrix 4e.
