METRIX EXTENDS SERVICE AUTOMATION SOFTWARE FAMILY WITH QUESTRA-POWERED ONLINE LINK TO LAB DEVICES Waukesha, Wis-February 11, 2003-Metrix, Inc., a leader in service automation for the medical equipment industry, has integrated intelligent device management (IDM) software from Questra Corp. into a new call center automation module for the Metrix 4e eProductServicetm family. Metrix 4e with IDM Powered by Questra adds real-time data connectivity and delivers proactive monitoring and alerts for medical equipment. The new IDM module turns Metrix call center and field service operations into a device-aware application. Intelligent data connectivity software enables medical instruments to generate alerts and pass them directly to field service technicians. Metrix 4e with IDM Powered by Questra can send alerts to a technician's email or wirelessly to a pager or handheld computer. It is an integrated, off-the-shelf field service solution that accommodates a wide variety of medical devices.
