Metrix 4 Training Courses

System Administration
The purpose of this course is to help attendees be able to perform System Administration for the Metrix 4 environment. Course content includes Application Architecture, review of the Econsole, how to configure partitions for system volume and optimum performance, Forte Administration and general trouble shooting tips. Activities and discussion will include environment set up and system installation.

Who Should Attend
Attendees may include System Administrator responsible for maintaining a Metrix 4 environment.

Course Prerequisite Recommendations
Ideally, candidates should have experience with software applications and a basic understanding of database structures. An understanding of your infrastructure, database and general IT background required.


Contracts Administration
The purpose of this course is to help attendees understand the relationship that basic entities hold with contracts, as well as to teach you how to create contracts that meet your business needs. Course content includes contract functions as it pertains to the M4.6.8 Web from contract type setup to include Preventive Maintenance contracts that automatically generate requests and tasks based on contract terms and Guaranteed Maximum agreements that offer the customer contract coverage based on dollar or quantity usage. Other contract types may cover individual customer products or all products at your customers’ place. Attendees will also learn to use the pricing engine features that offer flexibility by contract/product, parts and/or labor coverage, and multi-year contract discounts and special pricing as well as multiple pricing adjustments that can be applied at the contract entry level. Activities and discussions will include contract entry as well as contract renewals.

Who Should Attend
Attendees may include Contract Administrator responsible for contract entry and maintenance and managers who are responsible for establishing or maintaining contracts. Call takers, who are responsible for entering customer requests and selecting appropriate contract coverage to apply to those requests may also need to attend.

Course Prerequisite Recommendations
Ideally, candidates should have experience with software applications and a basic understanding of database structures. An understanding of your business processes for maintaining customer contracts is preferable as well as knowledge of the type of contractual agreements offered by your company.


Logistics
The purpose of this course is to provide you with the information required to maintain your inventory. Course content includes all inventory functions as it pertains to the M4.6.8 Web from maintaining static or dynamic bins to more efficiently manage stock space, tracking both usable and unusable stock to ensure accurate on-hand balances, managing inventory levels, taking physical and cycle inventory counts, and replenishing internal stock locations. Activities and discussions will demonstrate the visibility of parts to call centers, technical support, field service, and repair center personnel with real-time visibility to the exact location for both serialized and non-serialized stock.

Who Should Attend
Generally, inventory personnel who are responsible for the entry of data and inventory managers who need to establish inventory processes and procedures. Members of the project implementation team may also wish to attend.

Course Prerequisite Recommendations
Ideally, candidates should have attended the Metrix System Setup course. It is preferred that attendees have experience with software applications and a basic understanding of database structures. An understanding of your business processes for inventory processes is also desired.


Repair Center
The purpose of this course is to provide you with the information required to automate your repair center processes. Course content includes all repair center functions as it pertains to the M4.6.8 Web from RMA authorization, receiving, bench repair, packaging and shipping, to invoicing and credits. Attendees will learn to enter and track expended parts and track labor. Metrix supports multiple repair centers. The course demonstrates tracking the repair of internal parts, as well as those returned by the customer, and serial number tracking of each serialized item that comes to the repair center. The four basic process covered in repair center are receive only, ship only, repair and return, and advance replace.

Generally, repair center personnel who are responsible for the entry of data and repair center managers who establish business processes and procedures. Members of the project implementation team may also wish to attend.

Course Prerequisite Recommendations
Ideally, candidates should have attended the Metrix System Setup course. It is preferred that attendees have experience with software applications and a basic understanding of database structures. An understanding of your business processes for handling repair center processes is also desired.
